Small World Preschool is. . . .

a Ministry of
Royal Heights Baptist Church;
a Government Licensed, play-based, inclusive early childhood education centre, and
for children 30 months to 5 years of age.
including a program for children who require extra support.

The Staff:

School Term
The school is open from mid September to mid June with the exception of Statutory Holdidays, Christmas break and Spring break.

Our staff are Early Childhood Educators who are committed to providing a quality play-based program for young children. They offer a variety of learning activities and games including songs, finger plays, story time, flannel graph stories, dress-up play, music and movement and theme based learning centers to help encourage and develop kindergarten readiness.

Classes Available:
3 Year Olds	4 Year Olds	Class Times
2 days per week Group 1 Monday & Wednesday mornings 2 days per week Group 2 Tuesday & Thursday mornings	2 days per week Group 3 Tuesday & Thursday mornings 3 days per week Group 4 Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings	Mornings – 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. (2 1/2 hrs) Mornings – 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. (2 1/2 hrs)

Our Program

Children will have an opportunity to learn througha variety of activities including:

creative arts and crafts
home living and dressup
puzzles
learning centres
reading centre
water play
sand play
playdough
blocks and floor toys
storytime
fingerplays
physical play times
field trips
music and movement

Occasionally throughout the year, we may have special visitors.

More Info:

Each day we will have a snack time. Please supply your child with a small nutritious snack as well as a small cup with his/her name on it.

We have an open-door policy for parents who wish to visit us.

Throughout the year, the children will have an opportunity to particiapte in a number of field trips and special days. Parents are responsible for their child's transportation to and from the destination.

Fees:

Registration Fee(non-refundable) — $40.00

Field trip fee (full year — 4 yr. olds only) — $25.00

Two Day Program (Group 1) — $100.00 per month

Two Day Program (Group 2 & 3) — $104.00 per month

Three Day Program (Group 4) — $147.00 per month

Philosophy

Small World Preschool's philosophy is rooted in Christian values. It embraces, demonstrates and encourages expression of values such as respect, concern for others, thankfulness and concern for environment and community.We believe that play is the avenue by which preschool children learn. We are committed to working together with families to help each child grow and learn in all areas of development, withing a loving and nurturing environment that supports their individual differences and learning styles.
